The Competitive Enterprise Institute has put together a "report card" to assess the economic burden of the Environmental Protection Agency. The headline number is not pretty. With our GDP-building obligations today, we have not done the heavy reading necessary to know whether CEI offsets the burden of the EPA with the benefits to our quality of life. This is how Crony Capitalism works. What we should also look into is where this money is spent. My guess is we have some heavy political donors in that category.
