Hypocrisy watch: Your blogger and the new "prosperity"

This would be an example of me benefiting from public and monetary policy that I deplore. I am less delighted by that than you might imagine. I am also quite aware that you do not, and should not, care.

The point is, the policies have not worked to help anybody but the people that Barack Obama wants to tax more heavily because they have been the only people who have prospered under Barack Obama's policies. Got it?

  1. 1. "have been the only people who have prospered"

    That's not your problem.

    2. "I am less delighted by that than you might imagine."

Once again I encourage you to discard your idealism.

About 42 percent of America's citizens are idealists. That's great when Americans have to save the world from Nazi Germany or some other evil empire. But idealism gets in the way the rest of the time. (And idealism elects political candidates like Barack Obama.)

Robert J. Ringer wrote his second book, "Looking Out for Number One," in the 1970s. You don't have to read/reread the book. Just remember the title.

If you think pragmatically -- "whatever works (within the law)" -- you are never a hypocrite. (Also, you will become richer. And you will have a helluva lot more fun.)
