Milton Friedman on big business and free enterprise

Milton Friedman captures eloquently a point we make to the edge of tedium, that big government and big business are allies, not enemies, in the concentration of power:

    If an entrepreneur at a small company thinks and acts globally, he can outmaneuver big business and big government.

    To outmaneuver big competitors, an entrepreneur has to think like a pirate, not a farmer.

    What's the easiest way to build sales quickly? Take customers away from somebody else. What's the quickest way to do that? Offer the lowest prices. (Remember, you don't have the high overhead of a large corporation.)
